HoRNet VU Meter MK3

We are thrilled to announce a major update for VUMeter, our advanced VU meter with automatic gain adjustment. The new release, version 3.0.1, is packed with enhancements and fixes that elevate the plugin’s overall performance and reliability. This update focuses on resolving some of the most common issues reported by our users and introduces several new improvements that will streamline your workflow and ensure you have the most precise and stable metering possible.

Key Fixes in VUMeter 3.0.1

One of the most anticipated fixes in this update addresses the crash issue that occurred in certain host environments when users tried to change the meter color during playback. Previously, adjusting the color of the meter while the track was playing could result in an unexpected crash. With version 3.0.1, this issue has been completely resolved, allowing you to freely adjust the visual elements of the plugin while maintaining a smooth, uninterrupted workflow. Now, you can personalize your VUMeter’s look without worrying about crashes or disruptions, ensuring you can focus on your mix without technical hiccups.

Resolving Session Restore Crashes

Another important fix in this update addresses a crash that would happen in certain hosts when restoring a session that contained a meter with a non-default color setting and an assigned group. Users had reported that upon loading a session with these specific settings, their DAW would unexpectedly crash. With VUMeter 3.0.1, this issue is a thing of the past. The update guarantees that sessions can be safely restored, even if the VUMeter had a custom color or was part of a specific group. This means you no longer need to worry about losing your work or being unable to load sessions with your customized settings, making the plugin more stable and reliable for your day-to-day production needs.

Fixing the Stereo Issue in Popular DAWs

In addition to these crash fixes, VUMeter 3.0.1 also tackles a stereo issue that was present in several popular DAWs such as Pro Tools, Cubase, and Logic Pro. Users had reported inconsistencies in the stereo metering when using VUMeter in these platforms. These problems often led to inaccurate readings, making it difficult for producers and engineers to properly monitor their levels. With this update, we have resolved this issue, ensuring that VUMeter works flawlessly across all major DAWs, offering reliable and accurate metering for both stereo and mono tracks. This enhancement makes VUMeter even more indispensable for users who rely on it for precise level monitoring during complex mixes or mastering sessions.

Improved Performance and Stability

Beyond the bug fixes, VUMeter 3.0.1 also comes with significant improvements to performance and stability. This update has been optimized to run more smoothly on a variety of systems, even in larger sessions with multiple instances of the plugin. We have worked to ensure that VUMeter uses less CPU while maintaining high levels of accuracy and responsiveness. This means that whether you’re working with a single track or a large, intricate project, VUMeter will continue to provide the precision you need without causing any lag or slowing down your session.

Automatic Gain Adjustment for the Perfect Mix

One of the standout features of VUMeter is its automatic gain adjustment, which ensures that the levels in your mix stay balanced without the need for constant manual intervention. VUMeter automatically adjusts the gain of your tracks to ensure consistent volume levels, which is especially useful when you’re dealing with dynamic material that can fluctuate throughout a session. Whether you’re mixing vocals, instruments, or an entire track, VUMeter allows you to automatically maintain the perfect levels, freeing up your time to focus on other important aspects of your mix. The plugin’s intuitive interface makes it easy to monitor and adjust the levels, giving you more control over your mix while reducing the amount of time spent on manual gain staging.

At VUMeter, we believe in continuously improving our products based on the feedback we receive from our users.
