We’ve just updated Total EQ, our versatile digital equalizer with advanced analog emulation.

HoRNet TOTAL EQ is a highly flexible precision equalizer that also includes a built-in spectrum analyzer. What sets TOTAL EQ apart is the ability to control every parameter of each EQ band directly from the frequency chart itself. This eliminates the need to search for controls, allowing you to make adjustments quickly and easily, right where your mouse pointer is, making the workflow much more intuitive.

In terms of flexibility, TOTAL EQ offers up to 12 bands, each of which can be configured to behave as a precise digital EQ or take on an analog character. The analog emulation in this plugin is our most sophisticated yet, simulating not only the warmth of analog gear but also the subtle variations caused by component tolerances. This means that no two bands will behave exactly the same, adding a slight unpredictability that gives your sound a more natural, lively feel.

Each band can be assigned one of 17 filter types, including low pass, high pass, band pass, high shelf, low shelf, and the classic fully parametric peak EQ.

In addition to standard EQ controls that are specific to each filter type, every band can also function as a dynamic filter. By borrowing automatic attack, release, and threshold settings from our HoRNet DynEQ, the plugin gives you easy control over the dynamic response of each band. This makes adjusting the dynamic EQ as simple as dragging a point on the chart.

Additionally, each band features Mid/Side processing options, allowing you to fine-tune the stereo image by adjusting specific elements individually. The plugin also includes global controls, letting you enable or disable analog emulation and saturation across all bands at once. You can link input and output levels, ensuring that when you adjust one, the other compensates automatically, allowing you to drive the analog engine without changing the overall output level.

The new 1.2.3 version is a maintenance update and includes:

  • Fixed issue with the plugin not loading on some Windows machines
  • Improved GUI performance
  • Fixed input gain resetting issue

This update is free for all current plugin owners and can be downloaded from the user area.
