Bugfix update for our tape machine simulation
We have just updated Tape MK2 our tape machine simulator, to version 2.0.4
The HoRNet Tape MK2 is a cutting-edge software emulation of the classic tape saturation effect that made a significant impact on music production from the 1960s through the 1990s. We based this plugin on mathematical models meticulously crafted to capture every intricate detail of iconic tape decks. These models don’t just replicate the overall sound; they also encapsulate the unique idiosyncrasies that made each tape deck distinct.
The plugin includes a pre-emphasis filter, specifically a high-shelf filter. We designed this filter to counterbalance the natural loss of high-frequency content that occurs during the tape recording process. By replicating the behavior of the renowned “recording EQ” found in professional tape recorders, HoRNet Tape MK2 ensures your audio retains its brilliance and fidelity.
HoRNet Tape MK2 offers you a gateway to the vintage tape saturation magic of yesteryears, now enhanced with advanced features that meet modern audio production demands. Whether you’re a seasoned professional or a budding musician, this plugin is your key to crafting rich, warm, and authentic tape-saturated sounds. Experience the past, master the present, and shape the future of your music with HoRNet Tape MK2.
