We have just released a new plugin, the HoRNet Freqs.

HoRNet Freqs is a spectrum analyzer that offers two different types of audio spectrum visualization. The first one, called “analog,” is inspired by an analog hardware spectrum analyzer. This type of analyzer is still commonly used on the master bus in many recording studios today. The second visualization, called “digital,” is our own take on the typical spectrum analyzer. It is based on the FFT, the standard math used to convert audio into its spectrum components.

Freqs features a fully resizable GUI, which remains crisp and smooth on every display thanks to its hardware-accelerated drawing.

The plugin offers various integration times and level ranges for the spectrum analyzer. It also includes a peak hold feature that wasn’t available in the original hardware unit. Additionally, Freqs can display both the “mid” (or sum) part of a stereo signal and the “side” (or difference). This helps you isolate problematic frequencies more easily.

Freqs is our Christmas gift for 2020, and we hope it makes this challenging year a little better for everyone.
