HoRNet FilterSolo

We are thrilled to announce the release of a brand-new update for FilterSolo, our resonant multimode filter plugin with advanced modulation capabilities. With the release of version 1.1.0, we’re bringing several important enhancements that make FilterSolo even more versatile, intuitive, and powerful. Whether you’re a producer, sound designer, or experimental musician, this update is designed to offer even more creative control and flexibility over your sound shaping process. This latest update introduces a set of highly requested features that expand both the plugin’s musical applications and its integration with professional workflows. We’ve listened closely to our user community, and version 1.1.0 is the result of that collaboration.

One of the most requested features by our users is finally here: LFO sync to song position. This new functionality allows the LFO (Low-Frequency Oscillator) to be locked to your DAW’s timeline and synced to the tempo of your project. In practical terms, this means that the modulation behavior of the filter will now follow the beat of your song in perfect time. This feature is particularly useful when applying rhythmic modulation—for example, creating pulsing filter movements on pads, stabs, or bass lines that are tightly synchronized with your track’s groove. Whether you’re creating classic filter wobbles, tempo-synced sweeps, or dynamic build-ups, having the LFO locked to the host tempo ensures that your modulation is always musically aligned with your composition. It makes live performance, loop-based production, and automated transitions feel more natural, fluid, and in sync with the rest of your project. With LFO sync, you can now choose between tempo-based values (e.g., 1/4, 1/8, dotted, triplets, etc.) and free-running LFO modes, giving you the flexibility to move between rhythmic and more abstract, evolving modulations depending on your creative needs.

Another major addition in version 1.1.0 is the introduction of AAX plugin support for Mac OSX users. This means that FilterSolo can now be used within Pro Tools, one of the most widely adopted Digital Audio Workstations in professional music production, film scoring, and post-production environments. By adding AAX compatibility, we’ve made it easier than ever for Pro Tools users to access FilterSolo’s powerful filtering and modulation tools directly within their existing sessions. No need for wrappers or third-party hosting—FilterSolo now works natively in Pro Tools on Mac. This update opens the door to a wider range of users working in professional studios, broadcast environments, or anyone who prefers to work in the Avid ecosystem. Whether you’re using FilterSolo to sculpt synth tones, automate filter sweeps in cinematic scores, or create dramatic sound effects, the plugin will now integrate seamlessly with your workflow on Mac-based Pro Tools systems.

As with all of our plugin updates, FilterSolo 1.1.0 is available completely free to all current users. If you already own a license for FilterSolo, you can download the latest version simply by logging into the user area of our website. There, you’ll find the updated installers and release notes, along with any additional documentation you may need. We believe in continuous improvement, and our updates are always driven by user feedback. Every suggestion, bug report, and feature request helps us make our plugins better, and version 1.1.0 is a perfect example of this collaborative development approach.

Even before this update, FilterSolo had established itself as a go-to tool for anyone working with filter-based modulation. The plugin features multiple filter types—including low-pass, high-pass, band-pass, and more—with resonant character and analog-inspired behavior. Its powerful modulation system allows you to modulate filter parameters using LFOs, envelopes, or even MIDI input, opening the door to highly expressive, animated effects. Now, with LFO tempo sync and AAX support, FilterSolo becomes an even more flexible tool for both studio and stage. Whether you’re crafting subtle movement in ambient textures or building wild, evolving filter modulations in electronic tracks, this plugin adapts to your style and workflow. The intuitive interface remains clean and focused, giving you fast access to essential parameters without overwhelming complexity. This balance of power and simplicity makes FilterSolo suitable for both beginners and experienced sound designers.

Whether you’re producing EDM, film scores, hip-hop, or experimental soundscapes, the new features in FilterSolo 1.1.0 give you more precision, better integration, and greater musical control. We encourage you to update today, try out the new features, and let us know what you think. As always, we welcome your feedback, and we’re already working on future improvements based on the suggestions we continue to receive from our community.
