BalancEQ is a 6-band automatic equalizer designed to help you achieve optimal spectral balance without manually adjusting each frequency band. Thanks to an innovative analysis algorithm, the plugin analyzes audio in real-time and applies the necessary corrections to match a reference frequency response curve with a slope of -4.5 dB/octave.

Key Features

  • 6-band equalizer with low shelf (200Hz), high shelf (6400Hz), and four mid bands at 400Hz, 800Hz, 1600Hz, and 3200Hz

  • Intelligent signal analysis to determine necessary corrections

  • Automatic adaptation to the target curve for a balanced sound

  • Single parameter: the RESET button to restart the analysis

  • Light and dark theme with scalable interface

  • Supports VST3, AU, and AAX, compatible with Windows and macOS

How BalancEQ Works

  1. Analyzes the audio level using integrated LUFS.

  2. Normalizes the signal to -24 LUFS to establish a stable reference.

  3. Examines the spectrum and identifies the peak frequency.

  4. Applies a dynamic high-pass filter to remove unwanted low-frequency content.

  5. Adjusts the gain of each band to maintain a balance aligned with the reference curve.

The Ultimate Automatic Equalizer for Effortless Balance

One thought on “HoRNet BalancEQ – The Intelligent Equalizer for Perfect Balance”

Steve says:

I do a lot of spectral balancing with different slopes -6 to 0, or using grey noise and I like the idea of controlling the spectral balance using gain versus using EQ filters which may bring phase problems.
Some suggestions:
1. It would be nice to specify the slope to “color” any specific instrument. For example: An acoustic guitar might sound nice at -4.5 but it may be better at -6 so as to keep it in the background a bit more (bringing depth to the mix). Not the same as lowering the volume.
2. It would also be nice if we could specify the LUFS value, instead of just -24.
Thanks
