Maintenance release for the analog emulation plugin
HoRNet AnalogStage MK2 is a console emulation plugin that recreates the sound characteristics typically associated with analog gear. These include saturation, hiss, and nonlinear frequency response. You can use AnalogStage MK2 to add an analog console flavor to your mix by applying it to every channel or buss.
AnalogStage simulates the response of three different types of analog technology. These include operational amplifiers, which offer the cleanest and most modern technology, and transistor designs, which were popular in the 70s and provide some fat saturation. It also simulates tube technology, known for its dynamic and smooth saturation. Both Transistor and Tube modes feature advanced transformer emulation since this component is integral to the sound of that era. You can choose to use each instance of AnalogStage MK2 independently or link them together, either in groups (up to 8) or globally.
AnalogStage also includes a stereo VU meter calibrated to -18dBFS. This helps you with gain staging the plugin. Additionally, we added our latest auto-gain technology to help you quickly gainstage your mix.
We also included an “age” slider that simulates the effect of aging condensers. This affects both the saturation amount and the frequency response, making your virtual console sound older.
AnalogStage MK2 provides intelligent oversampling up to 4x. This feature guarantees the highest possible sound quality with an internal processing sample rate of 192KHz.
