Bugfix update for the vintage analog to digital converter emulation
We have just updated ADDA, our vintage digital analog converter emulation.
ADDA emulates the analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog conversion processes of early digital gear. This plugin is designed to offer a complete package. It includes a bitcrusher for the analog-to-digital converter, another bitcrusher for the digital-to-analog converter, and a resampler with four different algorithms. This setup allows you to choose the exact amount of aliasing produced by your device.
To provide the widest possible range of sonic settings, we added a switch to disable the anti-alias filter. This lets all the dirt pass through. Additionally, you can adjust the level of dithering noise in the DAC section, offering even more control over your sound.
For added versatility, the plugin features an analog front-end and output section. This allows you to add warmth and weight to your signal before and after digital processing. You can also use the pre-emphasis and de-emphasis filters to modify the sound before and after the entire process, giving you even more sonic options.
To ensure high-quality audio, HoRNet ADDA includes up to 4x oversampling. The “auto” option guarantees enough bandwidth for high-quality processing, regardless of the sample rate set in your DAW.
The interface is available in both light and dark modes. It automatically follows your operating system’s settings, ensuring a consistent look and feel with the rest of your environment.
We carefully optimized the algorithm, resulting in a very CPU-efficient plugin. You can easily create a virtual multi-output vintage sampler without significantly impacting your CPU.
