Maintenance release for the analog emulation plugin
RhyGenerator One is the simplified version of RhyGenerator, an Euclidean step sequencer developed by HoRNet Plugins in collaboration with electronic music artist HATEFISh. The sequencer distributes “beats” as evenly as possible across a given number of “steps.” If you’re curious, Wikipedia explains this in more detail:
The Euclidean rhythm in music was discovered by Godfried Toussaint in 2004 and is described in a 2005 paper “The Euclidean Algorithm Generates Traditional Musical Rhythms.” The greatest common divisor of two numbers creates the rhythmic pattern, determining the number of beats and silences. This method generates nearly all of the most important World Music rhythms (except Indian). The beats in these rhythms are spaced as equidistantly as possible, and the same results come from using the Bresenham algorithm.
With RhyGenerator One, you create rhythms of up to 32 steps. The plugin supports standard VSTi formats for VST and VST3, works as an instrument in AAX, and functions as a MIDI effect for the AU version.
RhyGenerator One generates the specified note using the rhythm from the Euclidean algorithm. You control the number of steps, beats, velocity, and note length independently. You can also shift the sequence by any number of steps to create upbeats and introduce more movement. For added creativity, you automate every sequencer parameter to bring dynamic variation to your rhythm.
We added full support for Apple M1 chips.
We removed 32-bit support entirely.
We introduced hardware acceleration for a smoother user interface experience.
We fixed the interface issues that occurred in the latest macOS.
