HoRNet ELM 128 MK2 is a powerful LUFS meter plugin that adheres to the EBU R128 standard. This plugin provides you with five essential loudness measurements: momentary, short-term, integrated, dynamic range, and true peak. Each of these measurements offers precise insights into your audio levels, ensuring that your work meets the highest broadcast standards.

The plugin supports mono, stereo, and 5.1 surround metering, making it versatile enough for various audio setups. It also features a handy history graph that allows you to monitor the loudness of your signals over time. You can review up to 12 hours of loudness history, giving you a detailed understanding of your audio’s dynamics.

Our LUFS meter is rooted in the broadcasting industry, where it’s used to minimize the perceived loudness differences between different programs. To make this process easier for you, HoRNet ELM 128 MK2 includes a normalization function. This feature automatically adjusts the gain in real-time, ensuring that no signal exceeds the reference level you’ve set. Whether you choose momentary, short-term, or integrated loudness readings, the normalization adapts to your selected standard.

The ELM 128 MK2 uses LUFS (Loudness Units Full Scale) as its measurement units. ELM 128 MK2 measures in LUFS, like dB but with a pre-emphasis filter, ensuring accurate loudness that matches human hearing.

The new 2.2.2 version is a maintenance release and includes:
  • Fixed scale resetting issue when the window was closed and reopened.
  • Resolved volume ramping issue when normalization was turned off.
  • Added Apple Silicon support for the AAX plugin format.
This update is free for all current owners of the plugin. You can easily download it using HoRNet DoIn or directly from the user area.
