Feature update for the tool designed to let you mix with one knob
We have just updated TrackShaper, the quick mixing tool, to version 1.2.0.
The HoRNet TrackShaper is a “mix on autopilot” utility. It’s perfect for those who want great-sounding tracks without spending hours tweaking plugins.
The TrackShaper builds on the technology of the HoRNet ChannelStrip MK2. It includes several specific algorithms tailored for different sound sources like kick drums, snares, acoustic instruments, and guitars.
Each algorithm controls multiple EQ and compression parameters. You can adjust them all with a single knob called the “effect amount.” As you turn the knob, the EQ and compression characteristics of the algorithm change dynamically.
Since each algorithm responds dynamically to the input signal, you must set the input and output levels carefully. To help with this, TrackShaper provides input and output gain knobs along with level indicators. A green dot will light up when your signal is within the correct range.
For those seeking even quicker results, TrackShaper includes an “auto gain” feature. This option automatically adjusts the input and output gain based on the signal’s level.
